Fargesia robusta ‘Wenchuan’

This robusta variety was discovered in China in 1997. ‘Wenchuan’ has bigger leaves than the species and its arching branches are not as close together along the culms. It is a vigorous grower and can be used as a specimen plant or a non invasive privacy screen. This plant is hardy to 5 f. and can handle full sun but should have afternoon shade is high heat areas.
