Phyllostachys nigra ‘Bory’

This variety of Phyllostachys nigra is larger, more erect and heat tolerant than the principal form. The culms become spotted with brown and black, sometimes described as a leopard skin pattern. It has small leaves of the typical P.nigra adding to the beauty of this very distinctive ornamental.
